Batts Hill Ginger Gin Spice Drink

Batts Hill Ginger Gin Spice Drink
This is a delicious earthy gin cocktail to warm you in from a lovely long winter walk. We've certainly all been on many of those lately.
Ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and is widely used in traditional medicines to cure all sorts of illnesses, especially colds and sore throats so this drink is also best enjoyed when you are trying to stave off the winter sniffles.
Occassion: A winter warming drink. Enough of these and you won't even need a log fire, although we highly recommend those! When you are doing your best to stave off a cold.
Glass: Coupe
Equipment: Shaker
Flavours: Lemon/citrus, musty/earthy, warming
Garnish: Slice of ginger

  • 50ml Batts Hill Gin
  • 25ml Lemon Juice
  • 25ml Ginger syrup
  • 1 x Egg white

For the Ginger syrup

  • 100ml Water
  • 100g Caster sugar
  • 1tsp Ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp Ground cinnamon

For the drink add all the ingredients (including 25ml of the freshly made ginger syrup) to shaker, no ice, shake well to combine all ingredients. Now add the ice to the shaker and shake again. Strain in a coupe glass. Garnish with a thin slice of ginger.
