Grape and Mint Gin Smash

Batts Hill Surrey Dry Gin Grape and Mint Gin Smash with fresh mint garnish

A smash is a cocktail style where fresh fruit and herbs are muddled before shaking, the same technique behind the famous Gin Basil Smash. This variation is lighter, combining tangy mint and lemon with sweet grapes and our Surrey Dry Gin. Late summer in a glass.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Batts Hill Surrey Dry Gin
  • 3 lemon wedges
  • 5 red grapes
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 15ml elderflower cordial
  • A splash of pressed apple juice

Method

  • Muddle the lemon, grapes and mint in a shaker with a few large blocks of ice.
  • Add the gin and elderflower cordial.
  • Shake again and strain over ice into a rocks glass.
  • Top with a splash of pressed apple juice.
  • Garnish with lemon and apple slices and a few mint leaves.
